Party Of Two was invited to play at the Relay For Life 2011 in Colts Neck NJ. When I went to bed the night before the forecast for the next day was rain. I thought for sure that this even was going to be canceled. To my surprise I got the call in the morning that everything was a go.
We were scheduled to start playing at 5pm. When I arrived I was shocked to see the turnout, I didn't count but there were 100's maybe 1,000's of tents setup throughout the park, people all over walking the relay around the park, participating in events, children playing... people just milling around doing all sorts of things. The weather didn't cooperate but these dedicated people didn't care, nothing was going to stop them!!!
We started playing at 5 and to get off at 5:45, well Doreen and I couldn't stop playing, we saw all the people having a great time in the RAIN so we just keep it going. Thank you all for the extra time!! LOL
I met some of the people who put this massive gathering together and all who volunteer their services all year long. I have never met a nicer group of people in my life.
I take my hat off to all of those who gave their time for the great event to stop Breast Cancer and help those who have survived!!!
